THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR ADVERTISEMENT IN CAR?

In an independent national survey conducted by Bateleur Research Solutions into the vehicle buying habits of South Africans, CAR was identified as the single most influential advertising medium. The survey concluded that other than physically driving a vehicle, CAR magazine is more effective than other motoring magazines, TV, radio, or billboards.

Other survey highlights:

  • 79% of all automotive magazine readers read CAR
  • 66% of regular CAR readers* claim that the articles in CAR influence the purchase of their new motor vehicle
  • 62% of Regular CAR readers* claim that the advertisements in CAR influence the purchase of their new motor vehicle
  • 41% of regular readers of other automotive magazines* claim that the articles in CAR influence the purchase of their new motor vehicle
  • 13% of new motor vehicle buyers (who read any automotive magazine) claim that they are influenced by radio advertising
  • 14% of new motor vehicle buyers (who read any automotive magazine) claim that they are influenced by billboard advertising
  • 45% of new motor vehicle buyers (who read any automotive magazine) claim that they were influenced by TV advertising
  • CAR is the most 'loved' automotive magazine - amongst regular CAR readers it scores 6,3 out of a possible 7.
  • The CAR magazine brand is almost twice as well defined as its nearest competitor.
