SALES MOVE INTO OVERDRIVE |

The
manufacturers and importers affiliated with Naamsa continue
to report strong sales performances as they jostle for
position as the rampant wave of consumerism continues
to beat down on the new vehicle market. Growth was experienced
across the sectors as manufacturers and importers continued
to capitalise on the promising sales environment, despite
a few hiccups.

SLOW, BUT FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT |

While
the export market has been unable to match the strong
demand for vehicles in the first six months of the year,
insiders suggest that the dip is merely temporary as
several manufacturers have recently secured, or are
in the process of securing, lucrative export contracts.

The
industry continues to reel as more manufacturers have
fallen under the continued scrutiny of the Competition
Commission and have been referred to the Competition
Tribunal for alleged anti-competitive practices.
